Gaia-EDR3 Parallax Distances to the Great Carina Nebula and its Star Clusters (Trumpler 14, 15, 16). Past distance estimates to the Carina Nebula range from 2.2 to 3.6 kpc, with uncertainties arising from photometry and anomalous dust extinction.
