In this comment, through our independent calculations, we assess that the
recently reported results of El-Maaref et al. [{em Indian J. Phys.} {bf 91}
1029 (2017)] for energy levels, oscillator strengths, radiative rates, and
lifetimes are inaccurate and unreliable for several levels and transitions of
S-like Sc~VI.
